Tryout Dance
- The videos from the front are not mirrored! Learn the material from the back to make sure you are facing the correct way and use the front videos as a reference for arm positions.
- Make sure you know both front row and back row! You will be given front row or back row at clinics, but you will want to make sure you already know it as we will not be teaching them at clinic.
- There is a part with tumbling! If you can tumble, TUMBLE! If you cannot tumble learn the dance portion. Tumbling is part of our routines, so it will be expected for you to be able to tumble DURING a routine, not just on a mat.
- Tips for a good dance score:
- perform with clean sharp motions!
- COUNT the music. Make sure you are on time and performing with everyone else
- PERFORM! We want to see your personality! Just make sure you are still clean, sharp, and on count!

Fight Song

- There are a few roll offs. Learn them all, we will set roll offs at the clinics!
- Tips for a good Fight Song Score-
- BE SHARP. We are looking for crips, clean motions!! Motions should SNAP in to place.
- YELL dont sing!! Yell the words! Be loud! Almost staccato!
- Showmanship! You should make us want to cheer with you! Perform! Use your face!! Be exciting! Especially in the parts that are kind of freestyle! Show off!
Cheers
- Learn all 3 cheers!! You will be asked to perform 1 as part of your tryout, but you do not know which one!

- In each cheer the front row and back row have different timing. Learn both! You will be assigned a row in tryouts. They both with face the same way, but the back row may hit a motion later, or do a high v instead of a low v, etc.
- Tips for good a good cheer score-
- SHARP AND CLEAN!! Snap your motions into place!
- Make sure you know both front row and back row! We may even ask you to switch in your tryout!!
- LOUD! YELL!! Part of you score is voice projection!
