Thank you to all those that participated in our virtual tryout process! This was an interesting year for all of us, but we are excited for the talent we saw and for the team we were able to create!!  If you did not make the team, please continue working and come back next year! Announcing the 2020-2021 Cheer Team Virtual Tryouts.  Because of the recent COVID-19 outbreak we have decided to hold cheer tryouts in virtual format this year. If you have a student that is interested in trying out for the 2020-2021 cheer team please read below for tryout information.  Tryouts will begin April 22nd with a Zoom Parents Meeting, then all required documents and video submission will be due on April 29th. All choreography and material needed for the video submission can be found  HERE . At that point videos will be judged by 3rd party judges and given a score. Looking for something to do with your little ones while you are stuck at home? We have complied a playlist with some of our cheers, sideline dances, and the fight song so you can host your own Mini Clinic at home! We hope this brings some joy and fun to your life, and are excited to see all the little T-Birds on the sidelines this fall when everything is back to normal! Because of the recent COVID-19 outbreak, we have made the difficult decision to postpone tryouts. Safety is our first priority, and we do not want to jeopardize anyone's health during this time. We will hold tryouts either when it is safe to do so, or look into different options. At this point we do not know when tryouts will be taking place or exactly how they will look this year. Below is the links for the tryout material. It is expected that athletes will learn the material on their own! We plan on learning all choreography this way next year, so we want to see how potential cheerleaders are able to pick up choreography from video. Dance with Counts (Front) Dance with Counts (Back) Dance with Music (Front) Dance with Music (Back) You may notice that the dance has a roll-off and a standing tumbling section. Please make sure you are able to do any roll-off counts because you will not know what roll off you will be required to do at tryouts. For the standing tumbling you will be required to do what ever standing tumbling you are most comfortable doing. Doing some type of tumbling is highly encouraged as it will be a part of all our routines this year. It is possible to make the team with no tumbling.
